(Helpful) tools from my hobbies. If you like, treat these as personal recommendations based on my experiences.
- DaVinci Resolve – A decent, if complicated, free for personal use non-linear video editor
- Nalgene – Water bottles, simple, reliable, and can still be obtained inexpensively in the US. As an example, the 48oz wide mounth has served me well for a numbers of years and remains cheap compared to other, trendier, brands.
- Plantronics – Poly Sync Combo speaker microphone. Expensive (unlike the Nalgene bottles), but has has garnered me compliments on call quality when I have needed to use it for group conference calls. Also doubles as a decent speaker for music. Not a great buy if only a speaker is needed, but excellent if a dual purpose speakerphone and music loudspeaker are needed.
